WINERY & VINEYARD EQUIPMENT 40 WINES&VINES June 2016 PRODUCT FOCUS Sorting Tables New sorting tables are designed to remove MOG before and after destemming By Andrew Adams BUCHER VASLIN Bucher Vaslin's new TRV 25 is a vibrating table that comes with two stainless steel drain grids as well as a flat panel. The table is linked with trapezoidal bars and can be set at 4 mm, 6 mm or 8 mm spacing. A vibrating "inter- mediate grid" with perforations of 2x20 mm prevents debris from falling into the juice channel, which can be set to empty to the left or right of the machine. Throughput is 20 to 25 tons per hour, depending on grape variety and condition. Price: $29,000. buchervaslin.com P&L SPECIALTIES P&L Specialties' new "Cluster Thruster" evenly meters whole clusters at 2 to 30 tons per hour. The machine can process a half- ton bin dump at once, and its os- cillating motion moves grapes evenly and gently onto a vibrating conveyor that can be set to feed a manual sorting line, destemmer or press. The hopper and con- veyor are designed to be easy to clean and easy to incorporate into an existing crush pad system.
