WINERY & VINEYARD EQUIPMENT June 2016 WINES&VINES 41 The Wines & Vines Product Focus feature is not intended to provide a definitive listing of all available products in a particular segment or provide any comparative analysis, but rather serve as an overview of what's new or available and also of potential interest to readers as determined by the magazine's editorial staff. CRIVELLER Criveller's new roller-sorter table is designed to be placed after the destemmer to provide a quick and easy way to ensure MOG is removed from the grape stream. The device employs a series of rollers that move MOG toward a waste-collection chan- nel. Whole berries slip through the rollers into a must pump or another conveyor for further hand sorting. The spaces be- tween the rollers can be ad- justed depending on berry size. Criveller reports the unit re- moves a "high percentage" of jacks and works with machine or hand-harvested grapes. The rollers can be removed for easy washing. Throughput ranges from 1 to 15 tons per hour. Price: Starting at $13,000. criveller.com ARMBRUSTER Armbruster's VST-3000 is available through Scott Laboratories and is a vibratory table for draining free- run juice, leveling the flow of grapes and providing a station for hand sorting. The table is equipped with screens to allow juice and MOG to pass through and can be set up before or after destemming. Options include a raised frame and platform, a mounted hopper and a crusher on the discharge end of the table. Price: Starting at $14,000. scottlab.com VALLEY PIPE & SUPPLY Valley Pipe & Supply imports a vibrating sorting table from French supplier Socma. The table is available in multiple lengths and with different con- figurations and features such as a flat, stainless steel table, two mechanical sorting areas, just one or none at all. The sorting rods can be set at varying widths to remove MOG and can also be swapped out with stain- less steel shaker screens. Other options include a light bar over the sorting area, MOG gutters along the main sorting area and multiple waste-collection bins beneath the sorting areas. The table is also equipped with a drain for free-run juice. Price: Starting at $12,000. valleypipe.com EURO-MACHINES Euro-Machines' Roller Sorter table is available as an add-on option for the Model AS destemmer or a stand-alone addition for crush pad sorting.
