JANUARY NEWS Red Heifer winery opens Wells joins Inland Desert Nursery S U P P LI ERS Red Heifer Winery, located near Smithsburg, Ma., opened in late November. The winery, owned by Kevin and Yvonne Ford, is situated on land purchased by Kevin Ford���s great grandfather in the 1940s. Red Heifer produces Catawba, blueberry, sweet and dry Vidal Blancs and is set to release a Cabernet Franc. The Fords planted 2,000 vines of Chambourcin and Chardonnay at the winery and plan to release estate wines in the future. Details: redheiferwinery.com.
