Adirondack Winery expands Adirondack Winery has relocated its 500-case winemaking operation in Lake George, N.Y., to a brand new winemaking facility in Queensbury, N.Y. Winery at La Grange for sale Purchased by a group of inves- tors in 2005 with the goal of operating a des- tination winery, Haymarket, Va.- based Winery at La Grange has come up for sale again. Listed for $7 million, the prop- erty totals 20 acres, of which 6.5 acres are planted to vines including a 4.5- acre Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard. The winery currently produces 7,000 cases of wine annually and has a 10,000-case capacity. Pennsylvania freezes fees and prices The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board announced a six-month moratorium on a pending increase in the logistics, trans- portation and merchandising fee it charges wine and spirits manufacturers. For the same six-month period ending June 30, the PLBC will not approve any proposed price increases by the makers of the wine and spirits products sold in the PLCB's more than 640 stores.
