NeWS oF GrAPeS AND WINeS IN e A S TerN NorTh AMerIC A New Trade Show for Eastern Wineries L Eastern Winery Exposition to debut in March 2012 in Pennsylvania ancaster, Penn.—Bob Mignarri of Quality Event Management in War- wick, R.I., recently announced that he will stage an eastern-focused wine industry trade show and conference called the East- ern Winery Exposition in Lancaster, Penn., on March 7 and 8, 2012. His goal is to provide mid-Atlantic and Northeastern win- eries, vineyards and suppliers with an easily accessible, low-cost professional meeting prior to the start of spring vineyard work. An eastern-focused conference program and networking events also will be featured. Mignarri, who from 1994 to 2010 man- aged the Wineries Unlimited trade show that moved to southern Virginia, will be in charge of producing the Eastern Winery Exposition. Richard Leahy, who was WU program director from 2000 to 2010, will serve as conference director and be charged with developing a seminar program. According to Mignarri, the Eastern Winery Exposition will be exhibitor-friendly. All eastern vineyards and wineries will be able to attend the trade show at no charge. The Eastern Winery Exposition will be held at the Lancaster Convention Center and Marriott Hotel.
