Tokyo Hansen now senior winemaker at Sterling The 400,000-case Sterling Vineyards, Calistoga, named Harry Hansen its senior winemaker. In his new position, Hansen will lead the Sterling wine- making team and oversee all wine production. Hansen was formerly direc- tor of winemaking for the 300,000-case Edna Valley Vineyard, San Luis Obispo, and received a master's degree in enol- ogy from the University of California, Davis. Responsible for all domestic sales of Opus One, Roux will oversee a sales staff at the winery and four regional managers throughout the U.S. Roux was previ- ously executive director of marketing and sales for Caymus Vineyards. Prior to his seven years at Caymus, Roux served as an executive director for Southern Wine & Spirits, vice president of marketing for Kendall-Jackson and marketing manager for Robert Mondavi Winery. NORTHWEST NO VEMBER NEWS Grand Rêve becomes Force Majeure The 1,000-case Grand Rêve Vintners, Kirk- land, Wash., is tran- sitioning its name to Force Majeure Vine- yards in response to a trademark dispute. The last wine to be sold under the Grand Rêve label is the 2008 Collaboration Series III released this fall.
