After earning a Pierce winemaking certificate from Washington State University, Pierce worked harvests in New Zealand, Oregon and Tasmania, Australia. Pierce joined Arizona Stronghold in 2010 as a cellar hand and was promoted to lab manager in 2010 and assistant winemaker in 2012. EAST Pa. liquor agency revenue tops $2B The Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores managed by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board made $2.17 billion in revenue during the 2012-13 fiscal year, according to the board's annual report. The state's 41 retail locations earned net income of $128 million, which represented a 24% increase over the previous fiscal year. In its report, the board attributed some of the retail sales growth to the new staff position of "wine retail specialist" at "premium collection" locations. Specialists help educate consumers and conduct tastings.
