out how any software company does
their updates and how often. A winery
that tells a state agency "the software
wasn't updated" will be the one facing a
problem with its permit, not the software
company.
Any compliance system should be like
a well-tended vine. Put in the work to
establish a good system, and it can grow
into something beautiful and powerful. If
left untended, it will grow in all sorts of
unintended and usually poor directions.
