Ontario wine country touts travel guide Wine Country Ontario has released a year- round travel guide that offers information and travel tips including sightseeing, re- gional cuisine and local wine tastings year- Fred Koehler dies at 83 Fred Koehler, who with his late wife Lynn founded the 28,000-case Lyn- fred Winery in Ro- selle, Ill., died July 16 at the age of 83. After a career in the restaurant busi- ness and managing country clubs, Koehler made his first wine in the basement of his home and opened the winery in October 1979. Considered by many to be the father of the Illinois wine industry, he assisted others in starting wineries and worked to secure favorable legislation.
