Vineyards in Lodi, Calif., and will now oversee all winery operations. Perry has helped create the winery's custom-crush business, developed new wines for the company's second label and assisted in overseeing design and construction of the new Bokisch winery. Prior to joining Bokisch, Perry worked as winemaker at Galvan Family Cellars in Fairfield, Bin to Bottle in Napa and launched her own brand, Egan Cellars. NORTHWEST Crimson acquires Seven Hills Winery Seven Hills Winery in Wash- ington's Walla Walla Valley has been acquired by the Crimson Wine Group of Napa, Calif. According to a statement released by Crimson, several family members will remain in- volved in winery operations, including winemaker Casey McClellan and his wife, Vicky, who co-founded the winery in 1988. Casey Mc- Clellan, a fourth-generation farmer who planted the Seven Hills Vineyard with his father, Jim, in 1982, will continue in his role as wine- maker and general man- ager. The winery currently sources fruit from several of Washington's top vineyard sites, including Seven Hills Vineyard and McClellan Estate Vineyard in the Walla Walla Valley as well as Ciel du Cheval and Klipsun on Red Mountain. Allan Brothers buy Gamache Vineyards Naches, Wash.-based Allan Brothers announced that it purchased Gamache Vineyards. The 220-acre farm will be managed by Sagemoor Vineyards, which is a subsidiary of the family- owned Allan Brothers Inc. Brothers Roger and Bob Gamache developed the vineyard in 1982. While Bob Gamache is retiring, Roger Gamache is developing a vineyard in the Red Moun- tain AVA and will continue to run Gamache Vintners. CENTRAL Southern acquires Sterling Southern Wine & Spirits of America announced its ac- quisition of Sterling Distrib- uting Co. in Omaha, Neb. The deal was expected to be final by the end of Feb- ruary. Following Southern's merger with Glazer's, the distributor is now operating in 40 states and generating revenues of $16 billion. Changes at Stone Hill Jon Held, former vice president and general manager at Stone Hill Winery in Hermann, Mo., will become the winery's owner and president, while Thomas and Andrea Held will assume ownership of the winery's other Missouri facilities in New Florence and Branson. Thomas and Andrea Held will op- erate the new business as Curling Vine Winery. Founded by Jim and Betty Held in 1965, Stone Hill now produces more than 250,000 gallons of wine per year. In a statement announcing the changes, Jon Held said the winery's increased distribution provided an opportunity to spin off the other wineries as a separate business. "It presented a perfect opportunity for Thomas and me to create separate businesses that satisfy our individual long-term goals." EAST Winery earns grants for expansion Monroe Bay Vineyard in Colonia Beach, Va., re- ceived $60,000 in grants from the state and county to help fund construction of a tasting room and pro- duction facility for making wine and cider. Owner Kiki Apple founded the winery in 2013 and has pledged to purchase $1.4 million worth of Virginia wine grapes and apples during the next five years. Jon Held
