22 WINES&VINES March 2016 WINE INDUSTRY NEWS New winemaker for Little Black Dress Margaret Leonardi is the new winemaker of Little Black Dress Wines, which is based in New York. Leon- ardi earned a bachelor's de- gree in agriculture business from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and previously worked as a winemaker in Sonoma County, Calif. Little Black Dress pro- duces wines with California grapes and is owned by Excelsior Wine Co., which was formed through a part- nership of Banfi Vintners and Concha y Toro. SUPPLIER New reps for Mercier Tonnellerie Mercier in Napa, Calif., announced two new sales representatives for California. Yann Bordier, global brand manager, will oversee sales of oak bar- rels and tanks in Napa, Sonoma and other Northern California counties, and Len Napolitano will represent the company in the Cen- tral Coast and Southern California. Bordier has more than 15 years of experi- ence in the barrel industry and has worked in several wine regions around the world. Napolitano has 15 years of experience in the wine industry and is still the independent representative for the Oak Infusion Spiral alternative product by The Barrel Mill. Enartis Vinquiry now Enartis USA Enartis Vinquiry in Wind- sor, Calif., announced it changed its name to Enartis USA. The company will retain the name Vinquiry for its line of lab services and supplies sold under the brand Vinquiry Laboratories by Enartis USA. The com- pany also plans to launch a new website at enartis.com that will allow clients to ac- cess lab results through a new portal by InnoVint. Spoto joins Leroi Ari Spoto is a new sales representative with Leroi Barrels & Charlois Cooper- age USA in Cloverdale, Calif. Spoto has a degree in wine and viticulture with an emphasis in wine business from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Spoto has worked at wineries in Napa Valley and Paso Robles as well as her family's winery, Spoto Family Wines in Oakville, Calif. Western Square hires president Kyle Rossler is the new president of Western Square Industries in Stock- ton, Calif. Former president Trygve Mikkelsen is now the company's chief executive officer in charge of strategic planning. Rossler has more than 25 years of manage- ment and sales experience and most recently was vice president of sales and mar- keting for Encore Glass. California Capsules hires Coletta California Capsules in Paso Robles, Calif., hired Amy Coletta as business-devel- opment manager. Coletta has worked in sales and marketing for more than 10 years and most recently was an account executive with The Tribune newspaper in San Luis Obispo, Calif. American Tartaric Products now ATP Group American Tartaric Prod- ucts is now ATP Group. Founded by the Zanin fam- ily, the company is based in Windsor, Calif., and has grown from offering just tartaric acid and derivatives to a wide range of products and services including pro- cess technologies, enologi- cal and brewing sciences, capital planning and more.
