Invino made 243 offers, many of which came during a special Memorial Day sale, and the website accounted for 37% of all offers in May. Lot 18 offered 33 wines, of which 24 were for brands that the company developed and had produced at custom-crush wineries. Napa County wines have always been popular offerings by flash websites, which sell wines online at a discount for a limited amount of time, and in the past 12 months they made 2,366 offers for Napa wines. Wines from Napa County accounted for 37% of all offers in this period. There were 727 more offers for Napa wines than Sonoma County wines, which had the second-highest offer total at 1,639. Offers from Napa County in the past 12 months also increased by 37% (or 636) compared to the 12 months ending in May 2014. The highest priced flash offers are almost exclusively for Napa County wines, but nearly half (or 45%) of all of the Napa offers had flash prices of $19.99 or less. As one might expect, Cabernet Sauvignon and red blends comprised of Bordeaux varieties accounted for the majority of Napa County offers.
