High-speed shrinksealer unit PDC International Corp. has introduced its 90C-ER Shrinksealer for the fast, continu- ous application of tamper-evident seals and shrink-sleeve neck labels. The new unit can seal up to 400 containers per minute or run as slow as 50cpm. 90C-ER Shrinksealers apply single and multi-layer PVC, PETG, PLA and OPS sleeves in gauges as thick as 40 microns. Details: pdc-corp.com. Rousseau releases anniversary barrel Tonnellerie Rousseau released a special barrel to commemorate the company's 60th year of doing business. The lim- ited-edition barrel, or "The 60," features many of the character- istics of Rousseau's signature "Video" bar- rel, which it released in 2008. According to the cooper, The 60 features extra tight-grain French oak as well as "elegance, finesse (and) irreproachable finishing" that create wine volume, depth, sweetness and length without overshadowing the fruit character- istics. Spotwine unveils single-serve pouch Spotwine describes its new sin- gle-serve pouch as a "revolu- tionary new delivery system for consumption of wines, spirits and mixed cocktails." The pack- age holds 187ml and is designed so consumers can drink from the pouch with a straw or pour wine into a glass. The pouch also features a re-closable cap. Details: spotwineusa.com. Flexible design for wine pouch Smurfit Kappa announced it's offering its "Pouch-Up" 3-liter packaging in a flexible, ge- neric design to allow for small-run orders of the package. The pouch's double gusset on the bot- tom and top gives it a more cylindrical shape, and a quadruplex aluminum film ensures high mechanical strength and prevents exposure to oxygen. Details: smurfitkappa.com. Esprit du Chene staves Roaming Gnome Enterprises announced it is now offering "Esprit du Chene" French oak staves. The oak barrel alternatives can be used with any maturation tank, but Roaming Gnome says the product is being imported specifically for use with the Oenotank, which it also distributes. Details: wineryproducts.com. Wine Cannon dispensing system The "Wine Cannon" by Bevolution Systems is designed to dispense glasses of wine from bag-in-box packages quickly and cleanly. The system employs air pressure to force wine out of the packaging to the dispensing unit, which the company says pours an exact amount of wine quickly and cleanly. Details: bevolutionsystems.com. New three-wheel lift truck by Yale Yale Materials Han- dling Corp. unveiled its new ERP025- 030VC three-wheel lift truck that features a narrow width and tight turning radius for operating in con- stricted or congested areas.
