Division wins gold in Gamay competition Division Winemaking Co., an urban winery in southwest Portland, Ore., won gold for its 2011 Gamay Noir in this year's Gamay International Competition in France. Missouri wine and grape director joins national board Jim Anderson, executive director of the Missouri Wine and Grape Board in Jefferson City, Mo., has been appointed to the National Grape & Wine Initiative Board. Diageo North America executive gets promotion Claudia Schubert is the new president of control states and Canada for Diageo N o r t h A m e r i c a . Adagio wins governor's cup The Williamsburg Winery's 2010 Adagio red blend wine won the 2014 Virginia Wineries Association's Governor's Cup award. The wine is 42% Cabernet Franc, 30% Mer- lot, 28% Petite Verdot and aged in a combination of French, American and Hun- garian Oak with 43% new barrels. "The 2010 Adagio was unbelievable, exceeding all expectations for quality, and it was nice for Adagio to get that recognition," said Williamsburg Winery wine- maker and vice president Matthew Meyer.
