Oregon Wine Board Hosts Industry More than 1,600 attend symposium in Portland P ortland, Ore.—Hundreds of wine professionals gathered at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland for the Northwest's largest wine industry gathering: the Oregon Wine Symposium. The event, which took place Feb. 25-26, marked the third year since OWS moved to Portland from Eugene, Ore., a change that has prompted growth in attendance. This year the number of attendees passed 1,600. Paul Mentzer of Erath Winery talks with Felice Leonhardt of St. Innocent Winery. Anthony Sereni is doing post-baccalaureate studies at Oregon State University. Amy Ashby graduated from Southern Oregon Wine Institute, where Dan Ashby is a student.
