It certainly did as wine industry trade and media gathered to celebrate and taste winners of 2018 Experience Rosé — a competition focused exclusively on domestic and international rosé wines. The event took place at Soda Rock Winery in Healdsburg, Calif., featur- ing rosés scoring gold and above. Top marks went to Draxton Wines, whose Pinot Meunier rosé scored a perfect 100 points, for a double-gold and the title Best in Show. Rosie McElheney (right) is the office assistant at Draxton Wines in Healdsburg, Calif. The 2017 Pinot Meunier rosé won double gold and best in show. Dan Berger of Dan Berger's Vintage Experiences was a judge for Experience Rosé: The 2018 Competition. Mike Tierney is the president of Taft Street Winery in Sebastopol, Calif. The rosé of Pinot Noir won gold. Darrin Low is the winemaker at Domaine Anderson in Philo, Calif. The 2017 rosé of Pinot Noir won gold. Craig Palmer is the co-founder of Experience Rosé.
