SUPPLIER NEWS New partner at BPM The accounting and con- sulting firm Burr Pilger Mayer (BPM), with North Coast offices in St. Helena and Santa Rosa, Calif., announced Michelle Ausburn's promotion to partner. Ausburn is a mem- ber of BPM's assurance practice with a focus on GAAP-compliant financial accounting and reporting for public and private com- panies, winery and vine- yard, natural and organic food, craft beverage and agriculture industries. Oenodia opens branch in Napa Oenodia, the enology divi- sion of the French firm Eu- rodia Industries, has set up a North American office in Napa, Calif. The company specializes in tartaric stabi- lization and pH adjustment and offers STARS (Specific Tartrate Removal System), STARS ZeroWaste and STARS mobile electro- dialysis tartrate removal. Domingo Rodriguez, a 20- year wine industry veteran has represented Oenodia since 2010 and is heading up the Napa office. M.A. Silva donates to support fire victims Santa Rosa, Calif.-based cork, glass and packaging supplier M.A. Silva an- nounced its donation of $10,000 to the Lake County Rising Fire Relief Fund to support victims of the Valley Fire and other 2015 wildfires that destroyed homes and businesses in Lake County, Calif. Starmont expands custom bottling Starmont Winery, located in southern Napa County and owned by Merryvale Vineyards, has expanded its custom-bottling pro- gram. The winery can provide 4,000 cases per day of bottling with a line that can fill 375ml, 750ml and 1.5-liter bottles and close them with cork or screwcap. Other facility services include an onsite lab, micro-oxygenation, cross-flow filtration and NomaSense oxygen moni- toring and control. Hyster PSI earns award Hyster Co. announced its new PSI lift truck engines won the 2015 Product of the Year Award from Energy Manager Today. The PSI engines are de- signed to enable users to maximize productivity or fuel economy to fit specific application and energy needs. The engines feature a high-power mode to be used when moving a high number or heavy leads as well as an ECO-eLO mode with "significantly" lower fuel consumption when there is less demanding work to be done. Stelvin Inside wins packaging award Amcor received a World- Star 2016 award for its Stelvin Inside line of alu- minium screwcaps and liners. The Stelvin Inside line of four closures each has its own distinct oxy- gen transmission rate to suite different types of wine. The World Packag- ing Organization in Oak- brook Terrace, Ill., confers the WorldStar packag- ing awards at an annual conference. Correction The new solar array at Niner Wine Estates in Paso Robles, Calif., will produce more than 600,000 kWh of power per year. The unit of measurement used to re- port that amount of energy was incorrect in a Regional News item published in the December 2015 issue of Wines & Vines.
