Faces & Forums 90 WINES&VINES December 2015 Wine Industry Financial Symposium In its 24th year, the Wine Industry Finan- cial Symposium spanned two days and included dozens of panelists speaking about topics from international sales to marijuana. The event was held Sept. 21-22 at the Napa Valley Marriott, with a session about avoiding financial fraud proving very popular with attendees. Kathy Archer introduced Bill Leigon, who announced his purchase of Jamieson Ranch. Marc Cuneo of Turrentine Brokerage gave an up- date about the grape and bulk wine markets. Nick Withers of Constellation Brands spoke about wholesalers. Diane Cline, director of sales at Round Pond Estate, shared her experience with suppliers. Peter Molnar of Tricycle Wine Part- ners discussed changes in the marketplace. David Freed founded the Wine Industry Financial Symposium. Jim Smith of Republic Natonal Distributing discussed how legalized marijuana could affect the wine industry.
