FEBRU AR Y NEWS EAST Pennsylvania winery will close Pavlick Hill Vineyard in Dallas, Pa., an- nounced on its web- site that the winery is closing. According to WinesVinesDATA, the winery produced 1,260 cases per year of wine including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Concord and Niagara. Owners Denise and Bill Karlotski had been making wine for three years. virginia named a top wine destination Wine Enthusiast mag- azine named Virginia one of the world's "10 Best Wine Travel Destinations of 2012" for the state's historic sites, scenic beauty, "elegant equestrians and affable wine- makers." The Virginia Wine group estimates that 1 million people include a winery stop while visiting the state. SUPPLIERS AgCredit merges with Farm Credit Services AgCredit mer- ged with Farm Credit Services of the Mountain Plains, based in Greeley, Colo. The merger will make the company the sixth-largest Farm Credit cooperative in the United States, totaling $5.58 billion in assets and a combined customer base of 6,907 members. TricorBraun buys Trilogy Glass TricorBraun, a supplier of bottles, jars and other rigid packaging components, announced that it has acquired Trilogy Glass and Packaging Inc. of Santa Rosa, Calif. Trilogy will become part of TricorBraun WinePak, making it a $120 million division of TricorBraun that specifically serves the wine industry. The acquisition doubles TricorBraun WinePak's sales team. BDI becomes Infaco service location Vineyard equipment dealer BDI Machinery Sales Inc. of Macungie, Pa., has become the eastern service location for Infaco, which produces electric pruning equipment. Details: bdimachinery.net. Nissan produces 200,000th forklift Nissan Forklift Corp. reported that the 200,000th forklift rolled off the manufacturing line at its Marengo, Ill., factory in 2011. The company reached the 100,000th forklift milestone in 2002, 14 years after beginning U.S. production of forklifts and materials-handling equipment. Details: nissanforklift.com. Design firm changes name, website Sterling Cross Creative, a branding and package design firm focused on the wine and spirits industry and based in Napa, Calif., announced its new name: Sterling Creativeworks.
