A patented membrane merely flexes; there is no possibility for contamination and wear. A 12-head corker has vacuum and gas- sing and vacuum capability plus innova- tive "no-lube" jaws that do not require oil lubrication on a daily basis but should be lubricated when the jaws are cleaned. The nitrogen-gassing system on the eight-head screw capper gently sparges the bottle neck and head of the screw- cap with nitrogen before application. Quick-release capping heads allow for easy changeover. Standard ROPP, LUX or WAK (an internally threaded wine closure) will run on the screw capper. A Robino & Galandrino capsuler is fully integrated and synchronized with the Superbloc. The non-stop PE labeling system can apply two front and two back labels or three front and back labels. The pres- sure-sensitive labeler can apply neck, shoulder or full-wrap labels. It has four label stations that are redundant in that there will be two stations loaded with the front label(s) and two with back label. When one station runs out of labels, the machine automatically switches to the redundant station so the empty station can be reloaded without interrupting production. There is 113 feet of conveyor between the labeling system and the case packer that acts as a buffer ahead of the case packer. If the case packer stops for any reason, the conveyor will allow the upstream equipment (Superbloc) to keep running and allow time for the case packer issue to be resolved. In between the labeler and the case packer is a laser etcher that engraves a date and time stamp onto every bottle. The laser etcher is about 30 feet down the conveyor after the labeler. The Standard-Knapp 939S Versatron Servo case packer has a capacity of 35 Standard Knapp case packer A quality control system has four sta- tions to monitor fill point, cork/cap detection and cork/cap defects such as no threads or broken cork, capsule detection and label inspection. The sta- tions are located after the filler, capper, spinner and labeler. If a bottle is detected to have a bad or missing capsule, then the Superbloc will not apply labels to that bottle. A rejection table/reintroduc- tion loop is used to reintroduce the bot- tle upstream of the capsuling machine. The external label QC (LogiLook high performance) system has the capability to utilize one camera to provide a full image of the front/back/neck labels that can detect variations in bar code, colors and font in order to verify if the correct labels have been applied. The specially formulated ABS is designed to handle temperatures as low as -40ºF which also make it very different from plastics such as PVC that often become brittle and fail at these low temperatures. Installation is a breeze and procedures can be learned in a couple hours. COOL-FIT ® Plus Systems! Your pre-insulated piping solution for GLYCOL installations. WineVines 8-15.indd 1 6/15/15 4:42 PM
