Metrohm and FOSS join in deal Metrohm is now the sole distributor of FOSS NIR, near infrared systems, following a deal announced by both firms. FOSS NIRSystems Inc., based in Laurel, Md., will become a division of Metrohm USA, named Metrohm NIRSystems. FOSS will continue its own research and development of NIR systems for both firms. G3 recommended for certification New rep for Quintessence G3 Enterprises announced it has been recommended by UL DQS Inc. to receive ISO 9001 quality certification and 14001 environmental certification for its mobile bottling division. Bucher Vaslin's Model FM60 Cross Flow Filter was pictured on page 52. Hess has been using the equipment since 2004. Bill Price and GI Partners purchased the Gap's Crown vineyard in the Petaluma Gap of Sonoma County, Calif. The name of this vineyard was misspelled in a news brief in the March issue of Wines & Vines.
