JULY NEWS News Briefs CALIFORNIA Wilsons purchase Blackstone winery Ken and Diane Wilson purchased the Blackstone Winery in Kenwood. The Wilsons' firm, Stone- cushion Inc., bought the winery from Constella- tion Brands for an undisclosed price. Con- stellation retains the brand. Sapporo Swanson Winery approved Napa County officials approved plans for a new 100,000-gallon winery in Napa Val- ley. W. Clark Swanson Jr. plans to build the 43,600-square-foot winery on a 73-acre property located near the intersection of Oakville Cross and Money roads. Nagoya Osaka shima n Vineyard in Calistoga. Biagi will be making wines from the com- pany's two estate vineyards: Hour- glass Estate in St. Helena and Blueline Tony Biagi Gonzalez founding winemaker at Mira Gustavo Gonza- lez is the founding winemaker at Mira Winery in Napa Valley.
