Investment group gains majority share of AEB SK Capital Partners, a New York-based private invest- ment firm, announced it had acquired a controlling stake in winemaking prod- ucts supplier AEB Group, which is based in Italy. According to a statement released by SK Capital, the company will purchase shares from existing inves- tors including Investin- dustrial, one of Europe's leading investment groups focused on Southern Euro- pean companies. Investin- dustrial and AEB Group management will have minority ownership posi- tions after the transaction. AEB produces a variety of yeasts, additions and other products and equipment for the wine, beer and food industries. Rousseau completes new facility in France Tonnellerie Rousseau Pere & Fils announced it had moved the production of the cooper's large- format oak vats and casks into a new workshop in Gevrey-Chambertin. The new facility is part of a larger expansion that also includes a new barrel pro- duction space and offices. The new building is nearly 20,000-square-feet in size and features larger spaces for toasting as well as shipping and receiving. ShipCompliant merges with Sovos Sovos Compliance an- nounced its acquisition of Boulder, Colo.-based ShipCompliant. The two companies will integrate their complementary compliance services to assist businesses navigating the regulatory environment for alcoholic beverage registration, tax rate determination, compliance management and reporting. Founded in 2000, ShipCompliant provides an integrated SaaS-based platform for wineries, breweries, dis- tilleries and importers of alcoholic beverage prod- ucts, enabling clients to easily access consumer and wholesaler markets throughout the United States. Vicard Generation 7 hires Northwest rep Vicard Generation 7 an- nounced Hillary Sjolund is the cooper's new repre- sentative for Washington and Oregon. Sjolund is a consulting winemaker who also runs a harvest lab in Washington and is a mem- ber of the board of the Washington Wine Techni- cal Group and teaches on- line winemaking courses for VESTA through Mis- souri State University. McCarthy joins Saury USA as sales director Martin McCarthy is the new sales director for Tonnellerie Saury USA, handling the company's barrel and oak alterna- tive sales. McCarthy has more than 15 years of sales experience and was the former sales and mar- keting manager for Ton- nellerie Radoux. Saury is part of the Charlois Group, which also oper- ates a cooperage produc- ing American oak barrels in Cloverdale, Calif. CORRECTION Oak Solutions Group col- laborated with Custom Metalcraft to develop an "extractor" tank for use with its oak alternative products.
