Jef- fries has more than 15 years of experience as a chemist for Analytical Sciences in Petaluma, Calif., where he focused on chemical analysis, extractions and field sampling. "Since tannins involve one of the most complex areas of chemistry, we have carefully assembled a team to support the intricacies of this field," said Kyle Sullivan, Oak Solutions Group's director of sales. Saxco acquires Square Peg Saxco International of Philadelphia, Pa., an- nounced its acquisition of Square Peg Packag- ing and Printing, based in San Diego, Calif., and Phoenix, Ariz. Square Peg designs and produces glass containers and custom packag- ing materials and printing. "Square Peg is an exciting addition to the Saxco team. Clemens to produce AgroThermal equipment Marty Fischer, CEO of AgroThermal Sys- tems in Walnut Creek, Calif., announced that the German vineyard equipment sup- plier Clemens GmbH will now design and manufacture AgroThermal Systems for use in the European Union and other markets. Bernd Clemens, managing director of Cle- mens, said the company believes AgroTher- mal technology could help with pest control, fruit set and improving wine quality. The companies plan to have new equipment available for the 2015 harvest. The Agro- Thermal system is a tractor-pulled device that treats vines with a blast of hot air.
