Details: napalife.com. NORTHWEST Ste. Michelle buys charitable wine label Ste. Michelle Wine Estates acquired O Wines, lo- cated in Woodinville, Wash. Stacy Lill and Kathy Johanson founded O Wines in 2006 to raise funds to provide scholarships for low-income young people. Ste. Michelle plans to add a red wine to O Wines' production and will continue to donate a portion of proceeds to fund scholar- ships, according to a statement released by the company. Vineyard owner expands holdings in Red Mountain Blackwood Can- yon Partners LLC, a venture headed by Michael Corliss, purchased approxi- mately 174 acres of vineyards in the Red Mountain AVA near Benton City, Wash., for $4 million. The property had been owned by Michael T. Moore, who died last year; the vines were left unirrigated and uncultivated this year. Corliss, who also owns RMV Cellars, now has 350 acres of vines in Red Mountain. The Red Mountain vineyard once owned by Michael T. Moore was unirrigated this year. Stoller winery opens new tasting room Stoller Family Estate winery in Dayton, Ore., opened its new tasting room. The building uses 100% solar energy and was built using salvaged timber.
