FT SYSTEM The new PCS700 machine by FT System mea- sures the amount of pressure in carbonated beverages by employing "laser spectroscopy" to analyze the gases in the headspace of a bottle. The machine can also inspect the headspace of still wine that has been dosed with nitrogen. According to the supplier, the analysis is not affected by different closures or variations in fill level or container color and can detect in- correct capping and container leaks. FT System is part of the Italian company Arol Group, which produces capping machines. ftsystem.com SACMI The KUBE K30 720 9T labeler by Italian supplier Sacmi features two self-adhesive labeling stations and one cold-glue sta- tion. The machine has a throughput rate of up to 9,000 bottles per hour and an electronic cam plate control system, through which motion can be pro- grammed according to the type of applica- tion. The machine is equipped with a universal screw feeder that is controlled by a brushless motor to handle bottles with a diameter of 60 mm to 120 mm. Ad- vanced management software—with a machine-mounted electrical control panel and touchscreen—makes it possible to control the machine from any device con- nected to the company network. sacmilabelling.com EMMETI USA The "Wax-On" machine by Emmeti USA can automate the bottle-dipping process for glossy or matte wax finishes. Bottles enter through an infeed conveyor and are picked up by the machine that then dips the bottles. If a winery is using a pull tab as part of the wax finish, the machine will automatically orient bottles to the correct position. Bricks of wax are placed in a stor- age area of the machine, which then auto- matically feeds them into the wax tank, as needed. Additional wax tanks can be added to the machine that can operate as a stand-alone unit or as part of a fully auto- mated bottling line. emmeti-spa.it VALENTIN THIERION Sparkling wine equipment specialist Val- entin Thierion introduced the MiniVal caser and de-caser machine that is capa- ble of handling 24 bottles at a time. The MiniVal can place bottles onto a conveyor or into storage cages. The machine em- ploys two suction picking heads that can carry 12 bottles on each side, and is oper- ated with a control arm with throttle so an operator can easily move the bottles. The bottles are placed horizontally onto the conveyor and then pivoted upright. The machine has a capacity to move up to 6,000 bottles per hour. valentinthierion.com/en Sacmi FT System
