more aromatic fermentations
Oenofrance launched a new line
of products called Diwine de-
signed to slow down the enzy-
matic reactions of oxidation as
well as remove heavy metals
from musts and juices to help
yeasts ferment more efficiently
and produce "better, cleaner and
more expressive aromas." The
full range includes Diwine Thiol
to enhance the production of thi-
ols; Diwine Arome for the pro-
duction of esters, terpenes and
norisoprenoids; Diwine SR for
the aromatic enhancement of
rosé wines, and Diwine 2+/3+,
which is specialized in removing
heavy metals from musts and

Automatic potentiometric
titrator
Hanna Instruments released its
HI901C automatic potentiometric
titrator that it says was "de-
signed with simplicity and focus
in mind." The device features a
dynamic dosing algorithm to
keep titrations quick and accu-
rate and a piston-driven pump
that is capable of dosing ex-
tremely small and accurate vol-
umes of reagent. The HI901C
can be used for acids, bases,
redox and selection ions.

New UAV option for field data
Agribotix and senseFly an-
nounced their partnership to
offer a fixed-wing unmanned
aerial vehicle (UAV) that offers
more coverage per flight to pro-
vide growers with more crop
data. Agribotix is now using
senseFly's eBee SQ UAV as the

Natural closure option
Diam introduced its new Origine closure at the recent Unified Wine &
Grape Symposium. The Origine is produced similarly to other Diam
closures but is de-
scribed by the suppli-
er as a more natural
option. The agglom-
erated cork granules
are treated with Di-
am's patented pro-
cess to strip out any
impurities, including
TCA, and then held
together with bees-
wax rather than mi-
crospheres and a new, plant-based binder. The Origine is available
with an oxygen transmission rate similar to the Diam 10 and 30 clo-
sures, and in the near future it will be extended as an option across
Diam's entire portfolio of closures. The Origine and Diam's other clo-
sures are distributed in the United States through G3 in Modesto,
