The surge in offers came from Invino, which held a spe- cial sale Jan. 2. Invino's 255 total offers ac- counted for 44% of all offers in January. Adding to the increase in offers was Last Call Wines, which resumed offer activity after a hia- tus of a few months that allowed the owners to ensure they were compliant with regulations regarding retailers making wine shipments. The website made 24 offers in January. During Janu- ary 2016, Last Call Wines made 74 offers. The number of wineries with wines offered through flash websites has remained stable in recent years as the overall number of wine offers has decreased. In 2015 and 2016, 12% of the more than 9,000 wineries in the United States have had a wine offered through a flash website. Where these wines are coming from has remain unchanged in recent years, with nearly 40% from Napa County wineries and about a quarter from Sonoma County.
