February 2017 WINES&VINES 85 WINE EAST GRAPEGROWING (color, anthocyanins and phe- nols) were determined as in Reynolds and Hakimi Rezaei. 16 Spatial mapping; Green- Seeker proximal sensing tech- nology: The monitoring system used in this study consisted of two paired GreenSeeker sensors, and a high-performance DGPS double frequency receiver with real-time kinematic correction (AgGPS 162 from Trimble Navi- gation). The GreenSeeker active optical sensor technology uses electroluminescent diodes (LED) to generate high-intensity light at the 660 ± 10 nm (red) and 770 ± 15 nm (NIR) wavebands. The LEDs are pulsed at 100 Hz with an average reading of 10 Hz, have a 60 cm-wide measur- ing pattern (61 mm x 10 mm) and a 0.01-0.12 m discrepancy. 22 The sensors sample approxi- mately 100 measurements per second and compute NDVI val- ues in real time; the files ac- quired were stored as NDVI data points in shapefile formats (. shp), which could then be im- ported to the ArcGIS 10.3 from the Environmental Systems Re- search Institute. Dates close to SM and leaf ψ data collection were selected for NDVI measurements three times during the growing season. The inverse distance weighting inter- polation method was utilized, to create a continuous surface (ras- ter) of vineyard study blocks from all point-data variables (i.e., SM, leaf ψ, yield components and berry composition), and the clas- sification method was based on natural breaks. Geolocated senti- nel vines were plotted as indi- vidual points on maps. COYOTE'S RUN PINOT NOIR Individual values on maps from 2015 represent highest and lowest values for the respective color zones. Individual points on maps represent the sentinel vines. 4 Distribution Centers: Quebec, California, Colorado ...and now British Columbia! 1.877.762.1867 www.unitedbottles.com Your most reliable source for distinctive and quality packaging in Canada since 1994… • Largest Selection of Stock Bottles • Kegs • Bulk or Pre-Packed • Fast Turnaround Time "It must be the packaging!"
