Dobbin most recently was vice president of StrategyCorp., a Canadian government-relations, communication and consulting firm. Hoyle named winemaker at Hosmer Julia Hoyle is the new head wine- maker for Hosmer Winery in the Finger Lakes re- gion of New York. Before joining Hosmer Winery, Hoyle was the as- sistant winemaker at Sheldrake Point Winery and also worked at Fox Run Vineyards and Atwater Estate Vineyards in New York and spent a vintage making wine in Australia. Former Hosmer winemaker Aaron Roisen left to take the winemaker position at Three Brothers Winery in Geneva, N.Y. Narmada Winery honored Pandit and Sudha Patil, owners of Narmada Winery in Amissville, Va., attended a recep- tion and tasting at the U.S. capitol in honor of their 2014 Bordeaux-style blend, which earned the gold medal for best in category at the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association's 12 th annual Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competi- tion. The Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association and Congressional Wine Caucus hosted the reception and tasting of gold-medal-winning wines in December. SUPPLIER NEWS New production supervisor at Cork Supply Victor Galindo is the new production supervi- sor for Cork Supply USA in Benicia, Calif. He has more than 35 years of manufacturing and production leadership and specializes in enhancing efficiencies of production lines. Galindo most recently was with Franklin Dis- tillers in Fairfield, Calif. Vintage now Wonderful Vintage Nurseries, which claims to be the largest grapevine nursery in North America, changed its name to Wonderful Nurseries. The Wasco, Calif.-based nursery is part of the Wonderful Co. portfolio of agricultural busi- nesses including Pom Wonderful, Wonder- ful Pistachios & Wonderful Almonds, Justin Vineyards & Winery, Landmark Wines and others. Wonderful has invested $25 million in the nursery to build a new greenhouse that has a capacity of 8 million vines as well as an advanced screening process and positive/ negative air pressure at doorways and build- ing connections to prevent pest entry. Chinese winery fund launches in U.S. Hong Kong-based Chateau Segonzac Interna- tional Group announced the start of an interna- tional winery mergers and acquisition fund in the United States.
