Users can create new work orders on the iCropTrak map or calendar, review work order status, review finished work orders and reassign or mod- ify existing work orders on the map or calendar. icroptrak.com New bottles for Stelvin closures by Ardagh Ardagh Group announced its Claret Regal and Burgundy Inspira- tion 750ml bottles are now available for use with a Stelvin screwcap closure. The Clar- et Regal Stelvin is available in antique green, and the Burgundy Inspiration is available in flint and Champagne green. ardaghgroup.com/glass LeafMon by Cermetek The new LeafMon system by Cermetek calculates a plant's crop water stress index to help growers make informed irrigation decisions based on real-time con- ditions. The sys- tem employs a suite of sensors that monitor rep- resentative plants through the entire growing season. The sensors are non-destructive, and the system is designed to serve as an alter- native to a pressure bomb test. cermetek.com Concentrating pipette InnovaPrep's concentrating pi- pette is now available with high-flow and ultra- filtration pipette tips. The concen- trating pi- pette is an auto- mated, rapid micro-particle concentrator for general microbi- ological analysis. InnovPrep reports the device provides a "front-end to rapid microbial detection in minutes, replacing laborious centrifugation or enrich- ment steps." innovaprep.com Spray nozzle control system The DynaJet Flex 7120 spray nozzle control system by TeeJet helps ensure optimal performance of any protective spray application in the vineyard. According to the manufacturer, the system consists of the DynaJet console and interface, driver modules, nozzle body-mounted solenoid tip shutoffs and related harnesses. DynaJet is used in conjunction with an existing rate controller and features a modular design that can be retrofitted onto new or used sprayers. The DynaJet controls pressure and droplet size across a wide range of speeds, allowing the operator to choose the optimum speed that conditions allow while maintaining consistent droplet size. An instantaneous tip shutoff feature also helps minimize waste and overspray. teejet.com GTWIST by G3 The new GTWIST line of screwcap closures by G3 features three pat- ent-pending GSEAL lin- ers that provide varying oxygen transmission rates (OTR) as well as the tradi- tional Saranex and Tin-Saran lin- ers. The GTWIST line features a liner with a very high OTR of 0.0045 cm 3 O 2 per 24 hours, me- dium OTR of 0.004 and low OTR of 0.002. The liners can be deco- rated with G3's range of printing options. g3enterprises.com Fracture fungicide for use in California The new broad-spectrum fungi- cide Fracture by FMC has been registered for use in California and Florida to combat powdery mildew, botrytis and brown rot blossom blight. According to the manufacturer, Fracture's patented active ingredient coasts the fun- gal cell wall, deforms the chitin structure and ruptures the cell wall to ensure its destruction, and within eight hours the fungal cell is dead. The active ingredient is Banda de Lupinus albus doce (BLAD), a naturally occurring seed-storage protein derived from the sweet lupine plant. The product has a one-day pre har- vest interval and a four-hour re-entry interval. fmc.com New options for Scorpion microbe tests ETS Laboratories condensed the Scorpion testing options into three panels for clients to choose from: the yeast panel, the bacteria panel and the combined panel. The yeast panel detects fermentation and spoilage yeast (Saccharomy- ces, Brettanomyces and Zygosac- charomyces). The bacteria panel detects malolactic bacteria, lactic acid bacteria and acetic acid bac- teria (Oenococcus, Lactobacillus, Pediococcus and acetic acid bac- teria) and can be used to assess stuck and sluggish fermentations. The combined panel includes the yeast panel and bacteria panel organisms. etslabs.com VisiTrace optical DO sensor The VisiTrace optical dissolved ox- ygen (DO) sensor by Hamilton is designed for measuring DO in low parts per billion ranges during sen- sitive operations such as filtering or bottling. The device has a 0-2,000 ppb range and is not af- fected by flow, pressure or the presence of carbon dioxide, ac- cording to the manufacturer. A microtransmitter integrated in the sensor head delivers a 4-20 mA output measurement directly to the process control system. Inte- grated Bluetooth 4.0 makes it possible to wirelessly monitor, configure and calibrate the Visi- Trace sensor from smartphones and tablets. hamiltoncompany.com New keg lifter Lift'n Buddy's new keg lifter is a lightweight, com- pact and maneu- verable device to lift kegs of vary- ing sizes and styles.
