Kendall is a native of the area and since 2011 had been work- ing as assistant winemaker at Ravines Wine Cellars in Hammondsport, N.Y. Prior to join- ing Ravines, Kendall worked harvests at win- eries in Germany, Oregon, New Zealand, Australia and Sonoma, Calif. Winemaker honored by native Italy Luca Paschina, wine- maker and general manager of Barbo- ursville Vineyards in Barboursville, Va., was inducted into the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic with the rank of Commendatore. The Italian government honored Paschina for his work with the winery's owners, the Zonin family of Veneto, Italy, in developing the es- tate and earning it awards, critical praise and four Governor Cup honors. Titan acquires Angeles Wine Agency California wine and spirits distrib- utor Titan Wine and Spirits in Woodland Hills, Calif., announced its acquisition of Angeles Wine Agency, a statewide wholesale distribu- tor of wines from around the world. Founded by Jeff Welburn in 1991, Angeles Wine Agency has focused on distributing wines in Califor- nia from European wineries as well as wines from Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Mon- terey County, Paso Robles and Willamette Valley.
