Michaels had been serving clients in Sonoma and Mendocino counties before deciding to move to Washington. Prior to joining Laffort, Michaels was the director of winemaking at Terravant Wine Co. Brain worked in wine- making at Edna Valley Vineyards and Juniper Canyon, and he is a past faculty member of the enology and viticulture program at Cali- fornia Polytechnic State University. Revolution Equipment hires GM, marketing director Revolution Equipment Sales, which is based in Santa Rosa, Calif., and buys, re- furbishes and sells pre-owned winemaking and beer-making equipment, announced it had hired Mike Wlodarczyk as general manager and Halley Eppinger as director of marketing and communications. Wlo- darczyk has 36 years of experience in the alcoholic beverage-production industry, and Eppinger previously worked with the branding consulting firm Armstrong Asso- ciates. Details: revoquip.com. Scott Labs hires rep for Temecula and Mexico Lucia Solis is a new outside sales repre- sentative for Scott Laboratories covering the Temecula, Calif., and Mexico markets. Prior to joining Scott Laboratories, Solis worked at Opus One winery in Napa Valley, where she conducted lab analysis and assisted with packaging decisions, blending trials and cooper evaluations. New rep at Krones Hector Takahashi is the new regional man- ager for the northeastern and mid-Atlantic regions for Krones Inc., a German supplier of packaging, bottling and brewery systems. Takahashi previously worked as a sales engi- neer and project manager at a conveyor sys- tems company. Details: kronesusa.com. Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin. Anthony Road names winemaker Peter Becraft is the new head winemaker at Anthony Road Wine Co. in Torrey, N.Y. Johannes Reinhardt will continue to consult for the winery. Becraft has been with Anthony Road since 2006, working in the cellar and vine- yard. In 2008 he was promoted to the post of associate winemaker.
