Okanagan wine tourism reaps $140 million
Wine tourism to the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia generates $140 million (Canadian), according to a research report released by
the Okanagan Wine Festivals Society, British
Columbia Wine Institute and the Okanagan
School of Business at Okanagan College. Other findings include that wine festivals generate
$87 million in direct annual economic impact, wine tourism supports 1,000 full-time jobs, and visitors from outside of the region
spend an average of $475 per trip.

in Santa Fe, Texas. A native of
Spain, Lastowska joined the
winery as assistant winemaker
